31 for 21: Did Sarah Palin give birth to baby Trig?
Yesterday I got a response from an older post that I had written about Sarah Palin and the “conspiracy” blogs about her not giving birth to Trig.
Now, before I even begin this post, please know that I am not making a political statement what-so-ever with this article. I am not saying I am for, nor am I saying I am against Sarah Palin running for office. I just feel that this needs to be said..
Jason wrote: “If you believe that Sarah Palin is the mother of Trig, then you believe that Sarah Palin gave a speech while in labor (and after her water broke), and then flew over 10 hours while in labor. I don’t think that a responsible person would conceal their labor so that they could fly.”
He apparently is obsessed with this whole idea because he has four websites dedicated to “proving” that Sarah Palin did not give birth to Trig. You can see those sites here, here, here, and here.
First of all, I don’t see what the big deal is that so many people want to prove that Trig is not Sarah’s baby. Honestly, I think this “conspiracy theory” is quite silly. People like this obviously don’t have anything better to do with their lives and more than likely, if you search hard, these same people have 4 or 5 websites dedicated to proving that we never landed on the moon and 100 reasons why they believe Elvis is still alive.
So, I feel compelled to respond to Jason and I will do so here…
Do I believe Sarah Palin gave birth to Trig?

You question that Sarah wasn’t showing until her sixth or seventh month of pregnancy and was able to hide that pregnancy.
Sarah, like most women in the world, is a resourceful woman and knows how to dress to hide the bulges! I did it myself and in my last two pregnancies I didn’t show significantly enough for anyone to know until I was seven months pregnant with my last two!
LOTS of people don’t show until those last months! And Sarah even said that she figured people knew since her clothes were getting tighter and she was dressing differently.
Jason, you have a hard time believing that Sarah gave a speech while in labor. I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that you have never been in labor to completely understand what that feels like. Every single woman is different and being in labor doesn’t mean that you are in gripping pain falling down to your knees in agony. Sarah was beginning to feel labor pains. More than likely, like most women, she figured they were Braxton Hicks contractions at first. And, being in labor doesn’t mean that you feel one long agonizing pain either! Sarah felt twinges that came off and on. She probably had a labor pain, said her speech, and had another. But, she very well could have felt pains during her speech! Also, your water breaking does not mean that your baby is coming right away. Each of my children waited a horrendously long time to come after my water broke! (one waited 3 days!)
I think what this proves is that Sarah Palin is a strong and resourceful woman! She had a job to do… she had a speech to give…and BECAUSE she is a strong and resourceful woman and BECAUSE she can get the job done even when her personal life is changing, some people have trouble coming to grips with that.
Do I believe that she jumped on a plane for a 10 hour trip back home?

Trig is Sarah’s fifth child. I know that since you have never been in labor and don’t know what that feels like, you have trouble understanding that. Sarah knew what to expect. She had done it four times before! And, she knew that Trig didn’t have a heart problem, so they were not worried too much about his health in that respect. If Trig had been born on the plane, I am sure that Todd could have handled it. He had been there four times before also! Not everyone HAS to be in a hospital to have a baby. It is the preferred way to go, but lots of people have babies in lots of other places. Having a baby is a natural process and for thousands of years people have been doing it without the sterile environment of a hospital.
You worry that there were no pictures released of Sarah and the baby in the hospital. I didn’t release those pictures either! Most woman look like crap those first few days! We don’t want people looking at us when we look like that! And, those newborn hospital pictures are personal pictures that the Palin’s decided to keep to themselves! This is their personal life. These are their special memories. What right is it of yours to strip them of that?
I read through your sites Jason and each “proof” you have is just an opinion! You have no REAL proof of any of this. You have no evidence and because you have no evidence you find that to be your “proof”. I love your picture of Levi kissing Trig. Oh yeah! That is real proof! After all, NO ONE would EVER kiss a baby unless it was their very own!
Bottom line is, Sarah Palin scares you. You are obviously feeling very threatened by a woman in power. And so, instead of admitting that, or just even keeping quiet about your feelings, you have dedicated your entire life to proving that Sarah Palin did not give birth to her baby.
Sorry Jason, I just don’t get it. Maybe you should go back to proving that Elvis is really alive! That would make a lot of people really happy!

Go get ‘em, Kristy! I didn’t show until I was 6 months along. Freaked out everyone at my office. And I agree, labor and childbirth is a natural process with a flow all its own. Someone who is on her 5th child surely has a finely tuned sense about what her body is doing and how everything is going.
And the photos?! Good grief. I have photos from those moments and days after I gave birth to my kids and I looked aweful. My kids: adorable, my husband: ever-handsome but me? I looked like death warmed over. I would never publicize them.
Why won’t Sarah Palin release her medical records? She should be the healthiest of the four candidates and it would help McCain. It draws attention. It’s standard for candidates. I’m just saying that it makes you rethink the matter…not so much for what her medical records would show, but for what it wouldn’t show. Also, since all the children seem to be named after something that was happening at the time of their birth, why Trig and not Al(gebra). Don’t get me wrong, I’m voting for McCain, you don’t have to be a liberal leftist to think that it’s a possibility especially cause she won’t release her records.Everyone has something or someone in their family. Glass houses you know.

she never sought medical care/attention/advice
her water had been broken for over 30 hrs by the time she “gave birth”
NONE of the airline stewardess thought anything was wrong
just because Jason hasn’t ever given birth or been pregnant, i’m guessing cuz he’s a guy, doesn’t mean that other women haven’t
we’re talking about a 44 yo woman, on her 5th child, with DS, her water breaking 1 month premature and she waits and waits and waits and doesn’t go to any nearby hospital — but waits more than 24 hrs before she gets to a rinky-dink hospital to have her special needs, premature child to be delivered by a person that isn’t even an OBGYN?
you grasped at straws a long time ago and thank god SARAH PALIN CAME OUT A LOSER LIKE SHE IS!
