Everyone has a Story! Meet Jayne and her family!
Today when I was reading in search of my story to share I became engrossed with Jayne’s blog and Holy Cow! I have been there for an hour!
Jayne totally described my life almost to a T. Especially in her article Order in the Court. I had to laugh because this was my house just last night….well…. it never did get clean but that is because we are doing an extreme makeover in Garrett’s room and all the “I don’t want this any more” wound up down the hall, into the living room, spilling into the kitchen and out the back door. So, today we will be finishing this project because I firmly believe that the 4 ft tall Texas Longhorns football player yard ornament just doesn’t make it as an accessory to my kitchen.
I truly think Jayne must be my long lost twin because reading about her life, I see our lives so parallel! My husband isn’t in Iraq, however he has just now gone back to his over-the-road truck driving. (took a few months out to rediscover what he wanted to do) So, I am back to being a single mom with a paycheck! This was his first weekend out. He drove two full days! Yep! He’s already broke down somewhere in the middle of nowhere. He “accidentally” called me this morning at 6:30. That’s ok, I told him, I had to get up to answer the phone anyway! (I have had three hours sleep and within those three hours I remember having a conversation with Garrett…. nope…don’t remember what it was about! I’ll ask him when he wakes up!)
So… enough about me and more about Jayne!!! Please visit her site at The View From My Shoes (make sure you have at least an hour!)
“Huh?” “A bike tire?” you say.
Not so much in the true wheel definition, although I have been feeling rather round lately..but that’s not where I’m going with this! More like the spokes of the wheel…or the branches of a tree…or the spider veins in my thigh…or…you get the idea - there’s a lot that makes up ME!

I find when I visit other blogs, there tends to be… a theme if you will, a main reason they write their blog. Maybe it’s Down syndrome. Maybe it’s autism. Maybe it’s scrapbooking…sewing…photography. It seems impossible for me to keep it with a common theme, unless of course that theme was - um…Insanity!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to write about just one thing, that wouldn’t be me. Nor am I saying that those that are able to write about one thing are either above or below me.
What I struggle with when writing this blog is how to keep those that read my blog for one reason interested while those that read my blog for another reason…maybe…entertained.
The spokes of my wheel seem to be…in no particular order as a wheel goes round and round and round and has no top or bottom!

You see what I mean? It’s a struggle…living my life sticking with one color theme.
I guess what I’m saying is…stick with me. Even if the post you see on the front page may not be the reason you come to visit my blog, hang in there, the next one may be and even if it’s not - well, you just might find some useless bit of info you didn’t know you needed to know!

Did you know that each silky strand in an ear of corn represents one kernel in that ear of corn?
Thanks for visiting -
Jayne
This is my “one new thing to learn today”! I didn’t know about the corn!!!
I totally understand what you mean in this post! It is near impossible to write about just ONE thing, because even if you have a child with Down syndrome and Autism, that doesn’t mean that your whole life is consumed with that. I think it is great to just talk about life in general in your blog…. it gives others a glimpse of the real you!
Thanks Jayne!
