I need Independence from the dog!
In America, July 4th is the day we celebrate our declaration of independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. It was on this day in 1776 that the Declaration of Independence was signed.
Most Americans celebrate this day with parades, festivals, bar-be-que and in the evening most cities have firework shows while some shoot fireworks at their homes.
As I have said in the past, I am the wearer of many hats! Not only am I the president and co-founder of International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association, I am also a mom, grandma, and wife. And, with those hats I wear, sometimes I have to do tasks that are not as appealing as others!
My 4th of July holiday started with a phone call from my eldest son Arron. They were waiting on the parade to come down the street and this will be the first year that 2 yr old Garrett will see a parade! Exciting stuff!!!
When I opened my bedroom door I was immediately blasted with a smell that no one ever wants in their nostrils, especially when they first wake up!
Buster (the dog) is very disgrunteled because his boy-Garrett-has been away all week long with his dad. So, in retaliation, Buster decided to difile not only Tim’s bedroom carpet, but also Tim’s futon mattress. And, for good measure he ate the comforter!
I would really like INDEPENDENCE from Buster!!!
So, while everyone is enjoying their 4th of July celebrations, Tim and I are working to clean the futon mattress. After about an hour of using the shop-vac on it, he just asked me how much a new one would cost! – It isn’t a bad idea….in fact, it may be the only solution!
Does anyone have a futon mattress they would like to sell?
By the way….If you look to the right of the screen you will see that I added a fun new game for you to play! This is great for the kids to teach them eye-hand coordination, thought processing and matching colors.
For you……. It is addictive!!!!!!!!!!
Have fun and play as much as you want!
